Booking an appointment with Jacqui at the Beaconsfield Skin Clinic to treat and remove all your blackheads, is by far the best option for health, speed, comfort, and results. However, there are certain things you can do at home to prevent the Blackheads from appearing on your face, back, and chest.
Cleanse your face and body: Regularly, gently wash your face and body with an oil-free cleanser. This will remove excess oil and bacteria from the pores.
Exfoliate your skin: Exfoliate your skin to remove dead skin cells which clog up the pores. You can use a gentle scrub or with an alpha-hydroxy acid or beta-hydroxy acid product. Please call us first for a recommendation
Wash your hands: It is very common for all of us to touch our faces. Try and avoid touching your face and wash your hands regularly. Touching the face results in the pores getting clogged up with bacteria, which in turn can lead to spots, blemishes, and acne.
Blackheads treatment does not hurt. In fact, the treatments are totally painless and actually very enjoyable. There is no pain with any of the options for blackheads treatment and removal.
You would be advised on a choice of treatments. It depends on the amount of blackheads and the overall condition of the skin. Any treatment for your skin would be bespoke and will depend on the blackhead removal consultation. You may be offered a Hydro facial. This treatment not only includes extraction but also hydrates and cell generates the skin, You may be offered enzyme therapy skin peels. Natural acids are used to extract, clean, and rejuvenate the skin leaving no blackheads.
It is normal to try and remove Blackheads yourself. You may have tried to extract them by squeezing them, scrubbing them or using tweezers for the blackhead extraction. These methods may work temporarily but may well lead to bacterial infection and cause the blackhead to spread. So we would not suggest using these methods over the long term.
Blackheads may well lead to spots and acne. Acne can lead to acne scars, which can be permanent. By speaking to a skin consultant, such as the Skin Clinic in Beaconsfield, they will be able to advise on the treatment of removing the blackheads, the aftercare needed, and the ways in which to keep blackheads on your face and body to an absolute minimum forever.
One treatment will remove many of the blackheads whilst really helping your skin texture, tone and colour.
However, some blackheads can be difficult to remove in just one treatment and therefore a further treatment maybe necessary.
During your skin assessment you will be given skincare advice for the home. This advice, along with the necessary products, will help keep your skin free from blackheads.
