Thread Veins

Book Your FREE Thread Vein Analysis
Treating Thread Veins / Spider Veins..... Thread veins are small facial red veins that commonly appear around the nose, cheeks, and eyelids. Sometimes known as spider veins. They are often caused by many years of unprotected sun exposure, genetics, or extended years of alcoholic consumption.

Our VeinAway thermocoagulation, is the newest technology on the market today and is the safe way to reduce and remove thread veins/spider veins with minimal discomfort. Sharp bursts of high energy are carefully probed onto each micro-vein, causing the blood vein walls to collapse, be shut off, and die. The sight of each vein therefore quickly disappears, leaving the skin clear and unblemished.

How does the Treatment work?

The treatment to remove the thread veins or small red spider vein / broken capillaries is effectively performed using VeinAway. VeinAway is a thermocoagulation process. By pinpointing the minute probe directly at the blood vessel, the VeinAway uses radio frequency to create sharp bursts of intense heat which destroy the blood supply. This causes the small veins to collapse. The vessel walls stick together so that further blood cannot pass through it. The body naturally removes rogue matter which will be eliminated as part of the natural healing process.
How many treatments will be needed and will the veins return?

It may take two treatments of around 30 minutes to remove the thread veins/spider veins altogether. However, this depends on the number of veins that need treating around the nose, cheeks, lips, eyelids, and eyes. At your free assessment with Jacqui, you will be given the number of treatments, cost, recovery time, and a chance to ask any questions.

What do I do after the treatment?
  • You will be advised of a treatment plan
  • Gentle washing of the face is allowed but it is important not to scrub in any circumstance or use scented soap.
  • Do not use makeup on the treated area
  • Avoid rubbing or stretching the skin
  • Avoid alcohol or spicy food if you are sensitive to redness (Rosacea)
  • For 72 hours, avoid excessive exercise or anything to cause dilation of the capillaries
  • Avoid direct sunlight for 72 hours or longer if the area has not healed. Then use a minimum SPF30 over the treated area. Ideally, this should be applied all year round.
  • Avoid sun beds, tanning creams, and saunas for at least a week.

Are Thread Veins / red veins, permanent?

Thread Veins or the small red veins on the side of the nose, chin, or cheeks do not have to be permanent. If the correct technology is used, such as VeinAway, and is performed safely by an expert such as Skin Revision, then the veins will disappear permanently.

What is the best treatment for small red veins on the face?

We strongly believe that the advanced technology in VeinAway is the best treatment for small red thread veins on the face. Having previously used Thermavein, we have found that VeinAway has produced quicker and more permanent results. There is also less discomfort during the treatment, especially around the nose, chin, cheeks, and eyelids.

Are Thread Veins normal?

They are very common as we age. It may be that an individual only has one very small thread vein or small red capillary on their nose, cheek, eyelid, chin, or ear, that can be hardly noticeable with the naked eye. However, a large number of men and women can develop many small red veins (thread veins, spider veins) as they get older. These can be hereditary, through excessive time in the sun over time, or by extended years of alcohol consumption or general lifestyle.

Does the treatment to remove Thread Veins, small red veins, hurt?

It does not hurt. In most areas such as the front of the nose, ears, cheeks, eyelid, and chin, there is a feeling of a needle touching the surface of the skin. In other areas such as within the sides of the nose, there is minimal discomfort. But the treatment is so quick and not an unpleasant experience. Compared to V Beauty or Thermavein, VeinAway is a much more pleasant overall experience.
